Rural & Urban Underserved Medicine
• Rural and Urban Underserved Medicine (RUUM) is a pathway within the Junior Honors Medical Program. The goal of the pathway is to recruit and enroll undergraduate Second Year students who are academically excellent and who can demonstrate a sincere interest in rural or urban medicine and in practicing medicine to underserved populations.
• The RUUM track is a 3 + 4 (seven year) B.S./M.D. degree program offered jointly by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the U.F. College of Medicine.
Please note: The integration of RUUM with JHMP is currently in progress. Updated information on RUUM will soon be available here.
